Apted fills DGA secy-treasurer publish
AptedMichael Apted continues to be drawn on for everyone as interim secretary-treasurer from the Company directors Guild of America, filling the vacancy produced through the March. 31 dying of Gil Cates.DGA leader Taylor Hackford informed board people from the move Thursday."I understand most of us continue to be battling to simply accept losing Gil Cates -- both personally so that as an innovator in our Guild," Hackford stated. "While you are all aware, Gil was integrally involved in most facets of Guild existence, not minimal which was his position because the DGA's secretary-treasurer -- a workplace he'd held since 1997.""Probably the most difficult responsibilities we face may be the appointment of the interim secretary-treasurer to carry on performing the standard business from the Guild before the National Board meets in The month of january and decides a brand new Secretary-Treasurer. I've requested past leader Michael Apted to simply accept this interim appointment and that he has graciously agreed."Apted was Hackford's predecessor as DGA leader, serving for 3 terms from 2003-2009. He's the chair from the DGA's 75th anniversary advisory committee along with a current board member.Cates was chosen towards the DGA's national board in 1975 and offered as prexy from 1983-1987.
